Terms & Conditions of Entry

The Crystal Palace Festival (the Event) is for nice, friendly, fun people who respect others. It is organised by the Crystal Palace Festival Group CIC (the Festival Organisers).


  1. The Festival Organisers reserve the right to refuse anyone entry to the venue at their discretion and any person who fails to comply with instructions from a steward or other person acting on behalf of the Festival Organisers may be ejected. In addition anyone found to be causing damage to the venue, the venue infrastructure, causing harm to any other person onsite, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms, behaving in an illegal, anti-social or aggressive
  2. The Festival Organisers reserve the right to conduct searches on all persons and personal property, including bags. Any person refusing to be searched by security may be refused entry to, or ejected from, the venue. All prohibited items found will be confiscated prior to entry, and will not be returned.
  3. There are no age restrictions for the Event; however, those aged 14 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult aged over 18 and remain the responsibility of that adult once inside the event. The Festivals Organisers reserve the right to operate distraction in terms of adult/child ratios and supervision.
  4. The Festival Organisers reserve the right to cancel and/or amend this Event, if deemed necessary. They also reserve the right to alter or change the programme and line-up without prior notification.
  5. Should the Event be cancelled or line-up changed, the Festival Organisers will not be liable for the payment of any compensation or for any loss of money and/or expenses incurred including any Event administration fees and cost of travel to/from the venue.

What to Bring/What Not to Bring

  1. The Crystal Palace Festival is an open-air Event in a park – so please come prepared with whatever the British weather might offer from raincoats to sun cream, blankets to sun-hats!
    The following items are not permitted:

As well as items mentioned elsewhere in these terms and conditions the following articles are not permitted within the venue: alcohol, glass (including perfume and aftershave), flags, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, sky or Chinese lanterns, golf umbrellas (or other large umbrellas – 1 metre or more), gas canisters (including aerosols over 250ml and nitrous oxide), megaphones, air-horns, sound systems, spray cans, balloons, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices and pens cans, poles, selfie-sticks, blow torches, unauthorised items for trading, including any goods using unauthorised Event logos, and any article that might be used as a weapon and / or compromise public safety, including unofficial tabards and high visual vests..
  3. Illegal substances – we operate a zero tolerance on drugs including substances now prohibited under the New Psychoactive Substances Act (including nitrous oxide) within the Event. If you are found to be in possession of, consuming, or selling illegal drugs, you will be rejected/ejected from the Event and may be handed over to the police. Sniffer dogs may be in operation.
  4. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, personal motorised vehicles (unless a mobility scooter).
  5. Please use seating or blankets with consideration for other and for everyone’s safety and comfort please keep these items away from the front of the Main Stage and be prepared to move your chair or blanket if requested to do so by a steward or security staff member.
  6. Climbing or standing upon flags, fences, barriers, trees, safety fences, ride structures, exhibits or buildings is strictly prohibited.
  7. Fires are not permitted anywhere onsite. Anyone involved with starting a fire or throwing anything onto a fire will be evicted from the site.Food, Drinks & Bags
  8. You may bring in food and soft drinks to the Event for your own personal consumption provided that any soft drinks are in unopened and sealed plastic or paper containers with a capacity of 500ml or less, restricted to one per person. We suggest that you bring an empty plastic bottle (500ml or less) so you can refill it at the water points on-site.
  9. Glass is not permitted to be brought into the site.
  10. There are a wide variety of catering open throughout the Event, as well as free water points.
  11. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the site.
  12. Large bags are not permitted to be brought into the Event site. Medim sized bags are allowed into the Event. Please note there is no cloakroom.
  13. You may bring any subscription medication that you would normally take, provided it is in its original packaging still carrying the prescription label, and is only as much as might be required for the duration of the event. You may be asked to present ID to confirm it is your name on the label. Medication can be safely stored and refrigerated at the Event First Aid point on site if required. Please remember that all medication must be self-administered. Tell your friends about any allergies that you have.Photography, Filming & Sound Equipment
  14. The Event will be filmed for recorded transmission. Festival visitors (including all minors) give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any photos, film, video and/or audio recording of this Event and/or any element thereof in any/all media throughout the world.
  15. CCTV will be present at the Event and festival visitors agree to being filmed by police or security staff for the purposes of helping ensure the security of customers and preventing crime.
  16. By entering the Event and by your presence at the Event site, you acknowledge that you may be photographed and recorded as part of such footage and its use in distribution (commercial or otherwise) without any payment.
  17. Unauthorised professional photography or use of professional recording equipment is prohibited and zoom lenses, audio visual or cinematographic devices will not be permitted in to the venue.Miscellaneous
  18. Warning – Prolonged exposure to loud noise may cause damage to your hearing. Smoke effects, strobe lighting, lasers and loud noises may be used at this Event.
  19. Parents are reminded that there are areas of the festival site, especially immediately in front of the stages, that are inappropriate for some people including very young children.
  20. There is strictly no parking available in Crystal Palace Park. Parking in surrounding streets is at visitors’ own risk and the Festival Organisers are not responsible for parking outside of the park.
  21. The Crystal Palace Festival does not allow smoking (including e-cigarettes) in tented areas. Please respect this policy which is a legal requirement.
  22. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times, and should not be exposed to high noise levels such as the front of stages.
  23. Please use the bins and recycling points provided on and off site.
  24. If before or during the Event you have a complaint in relation to the Event (including without limitation in relation to Your ability to view the Event), please go to our Information stall promptly since complaints are very difficult to deal with after the Event.   25. The Festival Organisers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense to property, motor vehicles or persons, except in the case of death or personal injury if due to any negligent act or omission on their part.
  26. Persons attending the Event are responsible for their own valuables. The Festival Organisers will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the venue.
  27. This Event is a non-camping Event. No camping at Crystal Palace Park will be permitted.
  28. Entry is subject to the rules and regulations of the Festival Organisers which may be changed at their discretion.
  29. Strictly no trading or other commercial activity by any festival visitors will be allowed on the Site without the Festival Organisers’ prior written consent.
  30. Please note that we have the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and post the new version on the event website pages.
  31. These terms shall be governed by English Law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms and conditions.
  32. Crystal Palace Park is a beautiful park and we want to keep it that way so please help us by keeping it clean – keep the Crystal Palace Festival tidy!
  33. Please respect our neighbours by not parking on residential roads, or making excessive noise when you leave.
