Our judges are:

Zena Edwards

Zena’s writing has been critiqued for its “meeting of styles”, as she brings classic western writing, an urban soulful edge, that meanders between meditation and mobilization. Her work is politically driven, favouring the search for balance between the brutal and the beautiful, the pragmatic and the idealistic, and the spiritual and the carnal. Her work has a viscerality that moves and enthralls her audiences. Conviction to the intergrity of truthseeking makes Zena’s work insightful to the light and dark of the world and yet displays a sense of awe about it goodnewzee.wordpress.com

BrokenpenBrokenpen

Brokenpen is a multi abled artist hailing from Angola Africa, living in south east London. “Pen” as he is referred to by his peers has been performing since 28 November 2017 but writing since the age of 18, he now considers himself a wordsmith of sorts, and airbender of kinds and an all round lyricist. Inspired by an eclectic mix of music, Brokenpen aims to share the art form he has crafted for over time with anyone who resonates with the message he feels is given to him by the most high. There is not much left to be said about Pen but when asked why his name is Brokenpen he states, “my pen breaks every time that I start writing from the weight of my life, its exciting emerging from the darkness just to realise that you’ve always been enlightened” Insta @brokenpen_
